Gus Kenworthy has Something Big, Hard, and Heavy for Us to Hold
Andrea Marks Joseph READ TIME: 2 MIN.
"Are you looking for something big, and hard, and feels heavy in your hand?" Our answer is almost always yes, especially when it's out Olympian Gus Kenworthy doing the asking! And while he does get fully naked in this video and pose for actual nudes while we watch, this post is actually Gus Kenworthy's book club announcement.
So let's go back to the big, hard, heavy... If that's what you're into, you're in the right place. Kenworthy's eyes light up when he says: "Then you would love coffee table books!" The athlete is serving impeccable himbo energy when he tells us that he absolutely loves to read, then corrects himself.
"Well... I love to look at pictures!" He will "hand select" a new coffee table book each month, with topics ranging from "art and design to nature, and other gay stuff like that." It's the perfect gift, for yourself or others, because he's right – a gay coffee table book is exactly what every queer person needs in their home. Something for your friends to page through and pass the time while you're switching outfits for the twelfth time before a night out, that also serves as a subtle way for them to realize you're far more cultured than they thought, ya know?
The details for the book club are straightforward (in the gayest way possible, of course): Each month you'll receive a different gay coffee table book, and for every new subscriber Kenworthy has partnered with online bookstore Allstora to ensure a book will be donated to queer youth in states facing book bans, which, the athlete rightly says in his caption "feels especially important at this particularly tumultuous moment in our country's history."
If that good deed doesn't motivate you to sign up, the nudes will! Yeah, we weren't exaggerating. Kenworthy fully undresses in one fell swoop, smoothly posing for "a one-of-a-kind slutty polaroid of me like this," that fifteen lucky subscribers will receive inside the cover of their book when it arrives at their door. (The "this" being a pose where he's naked with his legs spread, nothing but this month's coffee table book of choice –– a collection of Andy Warhol's pop culture Polaroids – covering him.)
What are you waiting for? We all need to be subscribing right now! For the children, of course. It's very important to support children, and the arts, and with this important monthly subscription, you can do both – all while increasing your chances of receiving the slutty Gus Kenworthy polaroid!
