Watch: Fox News Host Shocks Colleagues with 'I Need To Know If Someone Is Gay' Comment

A Fox News host shocked his colleagues on-air with comments about gay people and left them some of them scratching their heads.

As reported by Huffpost, on Thursday "The Five" host Jesse Watters told his fellow panelists that he doesn't agree with people keeping their sexualities to themselves. Why? Because he is "soooo interested" in whether they are gay or not.

Watters' cohost Greg Gutfeld cackled at the comment.

Meanwhile cohost Jeanine Pirro asked, "What is wrong with you?"

Watters' brought it up as they were discussing celebrities feeling pressure to pick a side in the upcoming presidential election, which will see Vice President Kamala Harris face off against former president Donald Trump.

According to cohost Dana Perino, she has the policy of "Don't ask, don't tell" when it comes to people's political leanings. "I don't care who you're voting for," she said.

Jumping on the reference to the law that silenced many LGBTQ+ people in the U.S. military, Watters took things further.

"I don't like 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell,'" he said. "I need to know if someone is gay. I have to know ― and they should tell."

He added, "And if you don't tell me, I know. And it's OK, I want to know."

Perino asked, "Why do you need to know?"

"I'm soooo interested in it," Watters replied.

"You know I meant politics, right?" Perino said.

"Oh yeah, me too," Watters answered as the two laughed.

Watters has had a habit of trying to prove his heteronormativity. But perhaps here he was trying to tell his cohosts something that they weren't getting.
