Is Gaga Engaged? She Called Boyfriend Michael Polansky Her 'Fiancé'

Could a trip to the altar be looming for Lady Gaga? A video posted to social media catches Mother Monster introducing her boyfriend, Michael Polansky, as her "fiancé."

The Hollywood Reporter relayed that the bombshell moment was part of a post made by French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal, who took to TikTok with a video of the "Poker Face" singer and a caption congratulating Gaga for her "stunning" performance as part of the opening of this year's Summer Olympics, which Attal called "breathtaking."

@gabriel_attal Thank you Lady Gaga for your stunning performance at the opening ceremony. It was breathtaking. 🤩🫶

The words exchanged by the pop music phenom and the 35-year-old French head of state are almost inaudible over the noise of the venue where they are seen meeting, but THR teased out the most important part of the exchange.

"In the video, taken at the venue where the swimming events are being held, with the pool visible in the background, Gaga can be seen giving Attal a hug in the stands," the entertainment news outlet said. "Immediately afterward, she turns to Michael Polansky, the entrepreneur and tech investor she's been reportedly dating since roughly 2019 or 2020, and introduced him to Attal as 'my fiancé.' Attal and Polansky then shake hands."

THR wondered whether the introduction served to "confirm her long-rumored engagement" to Polansky.

"Gaga and Polansky were first romantically linked in 2020 when they were photographed kissing at a New Year's Eve party in Las Vegas," People Magazine recalled in an article about Gaga's introduction of Polansky as her "fiance."

"Just weeks later, they went public with their relationship during a PDA-filled weekend in Miami for Super Bowl 2020," the article added.

The reference to Polansky as her "fiance" seems to be an evolution from 2021, when, as People Mag recalled, "Gaga was invited to perform at President Joe Biden's inauguration in Washington, D.C." and "Polansky was by her side."

"A source told PEOPLE at the time that.... Gaga introduced him to people backstage at the event as 'my boyfriend,'" the magazine went on to say.

Attal was not wrong to call Gaga's performance at the Summer Olympics opening "stunning." The prerecorded spectacle featured her "on steps along the Seine River, singing 'Mon Truc en Plumes' in a tribute to French ballet dancer, actor and singer Zizi Jeanmaire," the Associated Press reported on July 26.

"She was accompanied by a troupe of eight dancers carrying pink feather fans, all in custom Dior costumes, before she moved on to the piano," the AP added.

Gaga's star will continue to soar this year as she shares the screen with Joaquin Phoenix in Todd Phillips' sequel to the 2019 hit movie "Joker." The upcoming film, titled "Joker: Folie à Deux," features the "Telephone" singer in the role of Harley Quinn, and serves as an origin story for the baddest romance of them all. That film premieres on Oct. 4.
