Trixie Mattel to Renovate Palm Springs Motel as Part of New Discovery+ Series

From runway to renovator, "RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars" Season 3 winner Trixie Mattel announced on Instagram that she'd be starring in a new series for Discovery+ that "will follow me and my famous friends as we create the glossiest drag motel of your wildest fever-dreams!"

Mattel is already encouraging fans to follow #TrixieMotel on social for all of the reno adventures to come.

The entertainer has parlayed her "Drag Race" appearances into a multi-faceted career, landing a number one spot on Billboard's Heatseekers chart for "One Stone," appearing alongside Katya
Zamolodchikova in Viceland's "The Trixie and Katya Show" (don't miss this hilarious Netflix segment where the duo reacts to "The Woman in the Window"), and starring in the 2019 bio documentary, "Trixie Mattel: Moving Parts."

Palm Springs has long been an LGBTQ hotspot, packed with LGBTQ-owned business and hotels, as well as clothing-optional gay men's resorts. The Trixie Motel will undoubtedly add another jewel to the desert oasis's crown.

RuPaul's drag empire continues to spread its wings, with some of the latest winners of Season 13 joining the summer tour of "Drive 'n Drag Saves 2021," featuring Gottmik, Rosé and past contestants including Aquaria, Kameron Michaels, Naomi Smalls, Plastique, Violet Chachki, Vanjie, Kim Chi, and Asia O'Hara (appearing on EDGE's June 15 Facebook Live episode of "On the EDGE.")
