Lips Hosts Raise Your Hair High Gospel Brunch for 13th Annual SMART Ride

On Sunday June 19, Lips, the ultimate in drag dining, will host its "Raise Your Hair High Gospel Brunch 2." This is the official kick-off fundraiser for the 13th Annual SMART Ride (Southern Most AIDS/HIV Ride 2016), a 165 Mile bicycle ride from Miami to Key West planned for this November, which donates 100 percent of proceeds to statewide AIDS care service organizations. The foot-stomping and high-energy event at Lips will be held on Father's Day, two shows at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

"This is an exciting way to kick-off our annual bicycle ride, which raises much needed funds for those affected by HIV/AIDS," said Glen Weinzimer, founder of SMART Ride. "The generosity of Lips and other community partners will help us meet and exceed our $1 million fundraising goal."

Guests of Lips' "Raise Your High Gospel Brunch 2" will experience an exclusive show hosted by Lips' grand hostess, Nicolette. Attendees will enjoy soulful and inspirational music as performed by Lips' illustrious cast of church ladies who will also serve Lips' world-famous Sunday brunch with bottomless Bloody Marys and mimosas. Adding to the fun, hair hoppers are encouraged to let their hair reach great heights, as a grand prize will be awarded to the guest with the highest hair.

Reservations are required; tickets are $40 per person, which includes brunch, unlimited Bloody Marys and mimosas, plus a show cover charge. A portion of this will go directly to SMART Ride.
