SONiA of Disappear Fear Plays May 17 Benefit Album Release

On May 17, SONiA of Disappear Fear returns to the U.S. for the American release of her 18th CD, "LiVE at MAXiMAL" which is a double CD of a performance in Germany last year. She will perform in Baltimore, then tour the U.S., including the National Women's Music Festival in Madison, Wisconsin in early July.

The event is a benefit for Baltimore Neighborhoods, Inc., a group committed to helping shape a more just society by ensuring equal opportunities in housing throughout the state of Maryland. BNI promotes citizens living together as good neighbors without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, marital status, physical or mental disability or sexual orientation.

This concert kicks off the American leg of SONiA's "LiVE at MAXiMAL" CD release tour, with concerts in Boston, New York, Philadelphia, and prominent summer folk festivals such as Spring Gulch Festival and the National Women's Music Festival.

SONiA will also perform on Friday, May 20 at 8 p.m. at the Steel City Coffeehouse, 203 Bridge St. in Phoenixville, PA 19460. On Sunday, May 22, catcher her at 1 p.m. at the Spring Gulch Festival at Spring Gulch Resort Campground, 474 Lynch Rd, New Holland, PA 17557, and on Friday, May 27 at the Virginia Women's Music Festival after sunset, in Kent Store Virginia. Also playing that weekend are Mama's Black Sheep, Tret Fure, Jezebel and more.

SONiA has been�nominated 15 times as a semi-finalist for the Grammies and has�won�the GLAMA (Gay and�Lesbian American�Music�Awards)�for�Female Artist of the year,�as well as several GLAAD and�Out Music Awards, SONiA�received�the Coin of Honor for her Humanitarian Songwriting by the United States Army.�

From the Sydney Opera House in Australia to Palestinian Villages, the Kennedy Center and the Amnesty International Film Festival in Tel Aviv to her favorite Women's Festival --�SONiA continues to flourish in very diverse circles of fans and friends around the world.��
