Ind. Gov Get's Twitter-Slapped By Broadway Diva Over Anti-Gay Law

Hey Gov. Pence! She's got six Tonys in her purse and she will f*ck you up!

Leave it to six-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald to add some major theatrics to the scene playing out over social media in response to Republican Indiana Gov. Mike Pence's signing of a "license to discriminate" bill Thursday.

Sparing her glorious pipes for the concert stage, McDonald made it loud and clear via Twitter Thursday what she thinks of Republican Governor Mike Pence and Indiana's newly signed 'Religious Freedom' law.

In a series of tweets sent to Gov. Pence Thursday night, McDonald schooled the Republican executive on the immediate repercussions his bill would have on the Hoosier State.

Her tweet rant read:

@AudraEqualityMc

6:15 p.m. - @GovPenceIN Some in my band are gay & we have 2 gigs in your state next month. Should we call ahead to make sure the hotel can accept us all?

6:16 p.m. - @GovPenceIN or could you maybe send us all a list of where its okay for us to go? Might the law apply to me? (I'm black).

6:17 p.m. - @GovPenceIN or maybe I should fire my gay band members just to on the safe side.

6:18 p.m. - @GovPenceIN Or MAYBE...we need to stick to singing in states that don't legislate hate?

6:19 p.m. - @GovPenceIN Or MAYBE I donate the money I make in your state while I'm there to organizations that will combat your hateful legislation.

6:28 p.m. - @GovPenceIN Yep. That's what I'll do. Hey @HRC get ready for a little money coming your way from Indiana via me to you! Have at it!

Audra McDonald is the recipient of six Tony Awards, the American theater's highest honor.

#BoycottIndiana is trending on Twitter for the second day in a row.
