UMass guard Derrick Gordon, who made waves last month for coming out as the first openly gay player in Division I men's basketball, is making headlines once again, but this time it's for his love life.

According to E! Online, the athlete, 22, is dating 47-year-old "CSI" actor Gerald McCullouch, who is 25 years Gordon's senior.

The two men attended the 2014 GLAAD Awards together last weekend in New York City and even reportedly kissed, the Huffington Post notes.

McCullouch told E! that he first met Gordon via Twitter a few years ago after the basketball player saw MCullouch in the indie film "BearCity," a movie about the love life of a group of bears living in New York City.

"Through the years I've encouraged him to lead an authentic life and tried my best to offer as much objective support as possible," he said. "It was a scary time for him and I tried my best to assure him that self-acceptance wasn't anything to be ashamed of and I strongly suggested he find a support team at UMass."

Gordon listened to McCullouch, and came out last month.

"There is certainly a spark between Derrick and me," the actor told E!. "I'm very proud of him and think he's an engaging, courageous, and handsome young man."

McCullouch recently finished production on an upcoming film he stars in called "Daddy," which is also the actor's directorial debut. The film is about 40-something who falls in love with a younger fella.

"22 years old now...4 years ago I wouldn't have never imagine my life changing so much and being at the GLAAD AWARDS...IM TRULY BLESSED!!!!" Gordon tweeted Sunday.

McCullouch and Gordon aren't the only same-sex couple with a significant age gap.

It was revealed earlier this year that Academy Award-winning screenwriter Dustin Lance Black, 39, and British Olympic diver Tom Daley, 19, are in a relationship. This week, the couple announced that they recently moved in together with Black moving from Los Angeles to London and into the athlete's apartment overlooking Olympic Park, the Huffington Post reports.

"He's the best thing," Black told E! about boyfriend Daily. "I'm very proud. Everything Tom has said about being in love, I feel and echo probably more."
