Out-Fit Challenge will be bringing a 5K cross-country trail Mud Run to New York this month, as part of the official lineup of events during NYC Pride. The event will take place on June 29th in *Tuxedo Ridge,* 581 Route 17A West, New York, New York 10987 from 9am to 5pm with race waves beginning every 20 minutes. A portion of the proceeds from registration and spectator ticket sales will benefit the Ali Forney Center

The Out-Fit Challenge is the first ever LGBT National Mud Run which previously hit Miami with tremendous success. The event features 15+ military style obstacles that may include mud, water, and ice throughout the 3.2 mile trail with entertaining obstacle names like Pipe Dreams, Vagitarian, Commando Crawl and Is that Mud in Your Pants. After racers cross the finish line, they take part in a festive and fun-filled post-party, which features a live DJ, muddy go-go boys, and a drag queen hostess. The Out-Fit Challenge will run shuttle buses from New York City to Tuxedo Ridge throughout the day. Tickets to participate in the event are $55 per person with group discounts provided. Spectator tickets are $10 per person.

"I created this organization in the hope that it could bring together people from opposite ends of the spectrum for one cause," states founder and CEO of Out-Fit Challenge, Tory Fitzgerald. "It has grown to extraordinary levels of participation, and we can't wait to see the turnout here in New York."

Apart from putting on race events, the organization aims to aid national and local charities that are making a significant difference in the lives of LGBT individuals across the US. LGBT charities that the event supports include Family Equality Council, Care Resource of Miami, and for New York City, the Ali Forney Center.
