Watch: Emma Roberts Teases Return to 'American Horror Story' as Madison Montgomery

Monday Jun 18, 2018

Actress Emma Roberts teased her return to "American Horror Story" as her legendary Season 3 "Coven" character, Madison Montgomery.

Last week, co-creator Ryan Murphy revealed Season 8 of the FX anthology series will be the long-rumored "Murder House" (Season 1) and "Coven" (Season 3) crossover season. He also said a number of characters will show up in the upcoming Season 8, comparing the appearances to an episode of "The Love Boat."

Murphy mainstays Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters have already been confirmed, as has Kathy Bates. Joan Collins will also star in Season 8 and it looks like Roberts confirmed she'll be joining the cast, reprising her "Coven" role as the mean girl witch, Deadline points out.

The actress took to Instagram Sunday, and fired off her iconic "Coven" line: "Surprise bitch!"

"Bet you thought you'd seen the last of me," she added. Roberts is seen wearing a black dress, similar to the outfits she wore during "Coven," which aired in 2013.

During the latest episode of the FX musical drama "Pose" Sunday night, Murphy, who co-created that show, and "AHS" stars Paulson and Roberts live-tweeted the episode and shared hints about Season 8. Murphy was asked by a fan if actress Taissa Farmiga will return to Season 8. The producer replied by saying, "All the witches are being asked back."

Roberts first starred on "Coven" and later appeared on "Freak Show" (Season 5) and had a small role on last year's "Cult." She also starred in Murphy's Fox series "Scream Queens."
